What is R6callouts.com?
R6Callouts is a project created by R6 caster Dezachu to unify callouts.
For years, callouts have varied drastically. Whether that's region to region, team to team, or rank to rank, there is rarely any consistency.
R6Callouts won't magically see everyone using the same callouts but by crafting callout sheets in collaboration with various regions, teams, and skill levels, my hope is that we land on universally accepted callouts that are easy to understand and quick to reference when playing Siege.
This website is intentionally simplistic. Pull it up on a second monitor, view it on your phone, save the images to your GDrive - whatever you like.
Philosophy
In a perfect world, callouts would be chosen based on the answers to the following questions:
- Does the callout make sense with what you see in game?
- Is it quick to say & easy to hear?
- How similar is the callout to the in-game callout?
In my opinion, callouts shouldn't be based on players as callouts like these are terrible for newer players and have no relation to what you see in-game. The same could be said about callouts that relate to map changes (such as "New Balcony" on Kafe).
Unfortunately, not everyone agrees so I've tried my best to find middle grounds that work. A good example is "Main Stairs" on Skyscraper; the old guard call them "Red Stairs", whilst newer plays say "Brown Stairs" or "Wave Stairs". Both crowds can agree that "Main Stairs" is acceptable and so that has been chosen as the callout.
You may not agree with every callout and that's completely fine! Compromise has been a big part of the process whilst trying to follow the principals listed above.
